What Will Be Covered:
Saturday Morning – "Foundations of Connection"

Explore Being Herd™ principles: noticing the nervous system state (Calm vs. Alert, “O vs. X”) and staying connected at Low and Medium levels.
Hands-on exercises with your horse to establish My Space / Your Space boundaries and create safety through clarity.
Reflections: noticing how your horse responds when you offer clear, two-way communication instead of “talking at” them.
Saturday Afternoon – "The Chessboard in Action"
Step into the arena with your horse to explore the Chessboard concept: how horses map their environment and how you can join them in it.
Practice I.I.N.N. (Initiation, Introduction, Negotiation, Navigation) to guide your horse with respect and partnership.
Begin simple obstacle work (cones, poles, barrels) as a way to practice negotiation and navigation skills.
Reflections: what did your horse show you about their comfort zones, and how did your awareness shift as a result?
Sunday Morning – "Building Confidence through Obstacles"
Apply Horse Speak® to approach obstacles together, learning to “never leave your horse behind.”
Practice incremental steps and pauses to support your horse’s learning through the nervous system and neurochemicals.
Learn to recognize when to give your horse “51%” of the decision-making so trust and confidence grow.
Reflections: what new signals did you notice from your horse, and how did your responses change the outcome?
Sunday Afternoon – "Integration & Being Herd™"
Combine all you’ve learned: connection, Chessboard awareness, and obstacle negotiation in flow.
Develop High Connection moments where you and your horse move as one, with clarity and trust.
Group reflections: share insights from the weekend about communication, partnership, and what your horse taught you.
Closing: grounding in Being Herd™ — carrying forward the practice of Showing Up with presence, empathy, and respect for your horse’s voice.
